Two Giving Opportunities for the Community

Winter Clothing

Donations of clean, new or gently used winter clothing will be collected, sorted and distributed across the area by volunteers from Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga. Clothing will be accepted at each location for a five-week collection period, ending on November 20. There is a special need for children’s outerwear, including sweaters,
coats, snow pants, boots, hats, scarves, and gloves/mittens, as well as blankets. Look for bins.

Giving Tree

The Service Team is once again working with Birth Right to provide baby items for their outreach, and partnering with Tompkins County Department of Social Services Home-finding Unit which has a special need for teens that are in institutional residential placement facilities and for families where the children are being cared for by family members other than their parents. DDS has had a significant increase in need this year with 27 children
needing assistance. The Giving Tree will go up on Saturday, Nov. 16th and we will be collecting unwrapped gifts November 23/24 and Nov. 30/Dec. 1.

Thank you for your generosity.
